A fourth album in four years, following the third album's experiments with soundscapes, electronic music progressive rock and long form composition. Creation of a fourth album was influenced heavily by a vast array of sounds made possible by the Roland Fantom 08 work station. A christmas present I had first become aware of having seen Peter Gabriel in concert in November 2014. 'The roland fantom' allows me to engage with synthesis whilst playing the results of these experiments through an interface I know and love the piano keyboard. Alongside this the access to a sample pad and built in sequencer meant a user friendly approach to composition.

The fruits of my labours started to see the light of day almost immediately and initially took the form of experiments with sound design. These experiments encompassed self-created synthesiser sounds one 'harmonic' and one 'melodic' to create short pieces. As my experiments progressed more complex compositions started to be produced using the inbuilt sequencer alongside my already established home studio for programmed drum patterns, sound effects/musique concrete additions and audio instruments.

For this album I have chosen the most advanced and interesting of these compositions. This includes the second half of the album being devoted to a six part suite entitled 'The Galaxia Suite'. The first half of the album encompasses separate compositions, with maybe some thematic similarities. The concept behind the album's tracks are imaginary landscapes/or science fiction themes either literary or purely imagined. On this album I have explored progressive rock, psychedelia, space rock and electronic music. In a hope that a splendid time is guaranteed for all.
