about

Mill Road Reflections, originally a poem written on the Mill Road in Cambridge were I used to live as a student. Watching the people walk into town. A re-creation of this exciting place, has been made in 'Mckenzie Crawley Spires' via the last will and testament of 'Edgar Arthur Stiff!'

lyrics

Mill Road Reflections

Melody Lane rides,
her strange bicycle to the shops,
her eyes shine silver,
with grey milk bottle tops.

for a make believe wonderland,
sugar and lollypops,
but a grey sunday morning is all that she's got,
as she makes her way past church.

Mill Road Reflections on a summers day,
watching the people who are on their way,
to where ever they're going,
from where ever they've been,
if its sunny they lie on the green.

Ernest opens the antique shop,
then he starts to check the clocks,
he does so with a satellite watch,
for accuracy in relation to the nature of time,
so when they chime its at the same time.
