Bored Games is an ambient music E.P... Ambient music has been an influence on other releases of mine, a good example would be the album 'Invisible Ocean, Floating Island pts1-3' ginobragagnolo.bandcamp.com/album/invisible-ocean-floating-island-pts-1-3.

This E.P is entitled 'Bored Games' ( a play on the word board). The reason for the title is the composition technique of the tracks, utilising 'chance operations' to produce musical information. I felt this approach was reminiscent of the sort of processes involved in playing certain kinds of board games.

All of the tracks on 'Bored Games' were composed using chance operation scenarios to generate musical information. This involved the use of envelopes and sequences of numbers to chose the number of tones/ chords and there pitches in composing a track. The use of chance operations is a famous device utilised by composers and artists and in this instance I drew some influence from the buddhist philosophies that influenced John Cage's use of chance operations techniques. The music has therefore been created to reflect a sense of serenity in an order out of chaos approach. I would refer to this music as meditative space music designed to take your mind to all manner of intriguing yet chilled out places.

To the furthest edges of extra-solar space and back again. Music more for the planetarium or sea-life centre than the hit parade,I see that as a selling point, see what you think.....!
