'Clockwise' was composed and has actually been recorded as a synthesiser track for the next album. The idea was that I wanted to compose a track that had a strong bass melody and lead melody line. The two would pivot around each other. These two melodies would be represented by two distinct sounds on the synthesiser, played with my right and left hand. On both versions there was a section at the end which was improvised (though as usual a number of attempts at this were recorded, until eventually whats being played is probably not improvised in the truest sense). Both versions of the same track for piano and synthesiser last exactly the same amount of time.
