Psychedelic synth pop, using my synthesised sounds to create this psych pop track. A paradoxical appraisal of life. Perhaps it has a Zen Buddhist influence, although there are other nods towards spiritual/religious symbolism (four rivers in the sunshine). The lyrics ask the philosophical questions which always lead back to the beginning rather than offering a resolution. It also features some out of the box production techniques featuring heavy amounts of phasing, reverb and compression. A post-modern psychedelic reflection on a modernist life with all its opportunity and futility. A paradox indeed and maybe that is the point. My 2012 concept album 'Mckenzie Crawley Gardens' explored this as a major theme. Many of the synthesised sounds I used for this track have 'pulse' waves embedded into there makeup. This added a touch of fun unpredictability and a sea sawing audio effect.....Freak out....
