about

On '2015 a Space Odyssey', my 2015 album release the second part of the album was comprised of the 'Galaxia Suite'. These six pieces of music were exclusively influenced by the chords A and D with some self made synthesiser sounds and a melody. The pieces were conceptually linked to the stories of Isaac Asimov with the melody heard on these four new sections alternately given as 'The Voice of Multivac' a fictitious analogue computer with some significance to all things in Asimov's short stories.

The theme of Galaxia is a solution given by a fictitious robot to the human problem regarding our desire to cause one another problems due to a pre-disposition to do so. Galaxia is the entire universe slowly becoming one organism, started on the planet Gaia. The music representing this is not supposed to be seen as a rock-opera or anything like that, it is more of a theme that links these tracks. A tidal wave slowly moving through different settings in the universe, it seemed to be a good anchor for the music. There is no specific narrative to this music it is more the sound of a surreptitious tidal wave moving through all things slowly. Hear the motion of Galaxia.
