Initially this was the outcome of a compositional game, setting restrictions for myself that are rigid and un-compromised to aid creativity. Using drones in C major and then choosing 6 notes from the white keys seemingly at random as a motif. What I ended up with was something very close to the 'three blind mice' nursery rhyme. So instead I decided to explore 'three blind mice' through counterpoint. This seemed to become an orientally almost buddhist influenced theme (see chapter 24 by Pink Floyd.) The outro from this piece of music points the way towards pt.2 a more spacey oriental garden. Here is 'Three blind mice' explored through counterpoint, baring gifts from the orient. Have fun with this....
